Default Alternatives tire size to the Stock 195/60/16?

I am going to need to buy new shoes for my Scion XD and while doing my research I have fun it is very difficult to find tires that are 195/60/16. I am wondering what other tire sizes will work without causing any problems or extra cost for a stock 2008 Scion XD. Toyo’s website did not have the 195/60/16’s but when you do a search for the XD it does bring up a few other sizes. I just want to make sure that I am not going to hurt anything or need to buy anything extra or even have to make modifications to the stock setup by buying a different size. I want to buy some tires that are 215/55/16. What do you guys/gals think? Or would you suggest a different size that meets the criteria above?

The only two viable choices in the original size for the Xd are the Dunlops, which aren't so bad and the new Michelin Energy Savers (real name btw) which are "high performance energy efficient tires". The Scion optional size is 215/55HR16 which is about 12% wider but the same height. Many more choices available in the 215 size, I am a big Michelin fan so I'll always advise a set of 'em for any car. I personally have the Pilot Sport A/S in 205/55HR16 because they have a 45K mileage warranty and still have a low rolling resistance which doesn't kill my MPG. I had to go with the 205's instead of 215's because I blew a tire and waiting for a special order was not an option. My tires improved cornering, steering feel, rain handling & road noise, the MPG stayed constant and it seems there is sometimes a little too much steering feedback and I have to take them back regularly for rebalancing, may be a balancing issue but either way not an issue I had with the dunlops. Sorry for being so long winded, just wanted to give you my $0.02 worth of experience

thanks your $0.02 worth is worth it. I am looking at going with a set of cooper CS4 touring tires but i will look harder at the Michelin tires before buying anything. Again thanks for your input.
