Default Aem Fic For 2005 TC?

Okay i don't have time to go thru the millions of threads in the search menu due to the fact that im at work right now. but can anyone tell me if the AEM FIC will work good with my car or will i have issues. i heard that the FIC trips the TPS and leaves it on draining the battery. i have a 2005 scion tc as stated above so please let me know thanks. i really need to tune my car

On some Automatic transmission cars this was an issue. Scion/Toyota have half year model wiring changes sometimes that aren't listed in the service manual or through TSBs. So sometimes some production date cars have weird issues.

I can tell you the 07 auto iv done on the fic didn't have an issue however i have heard some auto's have had this issue. some have used a relay in order to control this issue. The aem fic is a fantastic unit for the money imho, its fairly easy to use but set up is required. Also all software is free unlike others aswell as all the updates for the fic.

Yup its only an issue on some autos for some weird reason. I have my TPS and my valve body staying powered on. It was a PITA at first. I had to put a switch inline on the TPS which was a pain. But as soon as I did the manual swap the F/IC didnt do it anymore!! Its so weird how it did it and I have no reason why. But other than that its a good unit.

I have one and it works great, just make sure you get a tuner that knows how AEM FIC works, and knows how to properly tune AEM FIC. If you live in Orlando fl, and decide to get it I would recommend elevation tc to tune your car.
