highend 02-01-2004, 02:49 AM Looks nice dude! Good job! So, even though they aint settled yet, how do they ride? Feel good?
Munch 02-01-2004, 02:55 AM Now that's a sweet drop. Those are 2.2 inches in the front and 2 inches in the back correct??????
swtbabiboi4u 02-01-2004, 02:58 AM The ride is Phenomenom... Best ride ever, for those who say the df210's are really bouncy n stiff, thats due to road conditions, define me your definition of smooth and bouncy ride... Tanabe Df210's are made with a special amount of spring rate ratios which are:
Spring Drops: Front: 2.2 Inch Rear: 2.1 Inch
Spring Rates: Front: 2.8 kg/mm Rear: 3.0 kg/mm
<img src=http://img8.photobucket.com/albums/v28/swtbabiboi4u/xangur/tanabe.jpg>
With the springs on my car right now, the ride is not bouncy, its a really smooth ride, it Hugs and hugs the road perfect. right now im just holding off on my Shocks due to the factory shocks are still new and good for another 16 months.
Tokico Blues/Whites are a good recomendation along with Cusco under frame brace along with a Tower brace any brand will due. ur own preferance. As for alignment its perfect no alignment required for Tanabe DF210 had them checkd out already. Camber position is perfect no kit required unless under heavy loads on a regular basis. PM or IM me for any questions on my suspensions.
-Mark :D
P.S. Good Luck with ur suspensions
swtbabiboi4u 02-01-2004, 03:00 AM my estimation my car will be be off the ground about 3.6-4" ride height. car drop estimate front and rear 2.5" drop all around.
xBassist 02-01-2004, 03:17 AM Mmmmmm........... The lower, the better imo. Looks nice
did it come with bump stops at all? How long did it take for you to install them?

Munch 02-01-2004, 03:36 PM Is the car level or does it have a nice little rake to the front?
showpaojoe 02-01-2004, 06:22 PM it has a nice rake in the front. if you see it in person, you can tell there is a subtle dip. it looks real good in person
Munch 02-01-2004, 06:26 PM it has a nice rake in the front. if you see it in person, you can tell there is a subtle dip. it looks real good in person

HotBox 02-04-2004, 03:49 AM whats rake
Docsnuff 02-04-2004, 03:54 AM In simple speak, it is an angle or lean... think motorcycle front forks on a chopper... you know how some are more angled and extend forward? If this( | )is a normal fork, then this( / )is a raked fork.... make sense?
Doc
HotBox 02-04-2004, 04:05 AM makes sense but you mean like is the front lower then the back?
Docsnuff 02-04-2004, 04:08 AM makes sense but you mean like is the front lower then the back?

HotBox 02-04-2004, 04:17 AM i like the helicopter design that they used for a bike that was tight
i would call it a helichopper
Docsnuff 02-04-2004, 04:20 AM i like the helicopter design that they used for a bike that was tight
i would call it a helichopper
LOL...did you see the new one, the POW/MIA bike? That thing is sick!!!
Doc
HotBox 02-04-2004, 04:25 AM nah uh i only saw that one i dont even know when it comes on
showpaojoe 02-04-2004, 04:34 AM The POW/MIA was pretty good, the only reason it was so cool tho was because of the detail but the actual design wasn't as creative as some of their other ones
Docsnuff 02-04-2004, 04:57 AM Well Sr. designed it, that was why the design wasn't what you are used to, most of the other designs are Jr's
Doc
HotBox 02-04-2004, 04:58 AM hat day and time does it come on

showpaojoe 02-04-2004, 06:33 PM i think it's pretty obvious that most posts go off topic

HotBox 02-04-2004, 06:35 PM yes just before the 2nd page they tend to get off topic but they get back on every now and then

swtbabiboi4u 02-07-2004, 05:17 AM good luck have fun enjoy them! they are fantastic
mrlaypo 02-07-2004, 09:46 AM thanks.. so far so good. not quite as low as i want yet... but i'll give it some time. and tomorrow morning i'll be picking up some tires for the rotas (the ones NO ONE wanted to buy from me! :P ) and slapping those on.
swtbabiboi4u 02-08-2004, 04:37 AM you got any pics of the rota's ? what style ? what brand n type tires r u going with? :D
mrlaypo 02-08-2004, 07:23 AM they are the 15" rota grid in gunmetal w/silver lip. i havent taken any pics yet cuz i ended up not being able to put them on until it was already dark outside. but i'll post pics as soon as i can. and the tires are 205/50 michelin pilots. my buddies and i were supposed to drag this afternoon and i heard pilots are pretty sticky so thats what i got..
mrlaypo 02-08-2004, 06:04 PM here u go... some pics taken this morning: (the last 6 pics of the album)
http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4288899983
the grids look good mrlaypo! i was pretty close on slipstreams myself. you need to smoke the red rear running lights! i have polar white so i need to clear them. unfortunately smokeout is easy right now and clearing is yet availible.
mrlaypo 02-09-2004, 02:01 AM the grids look good mrlaypo! i was pretty close on slipstreams myself. you need to smoke the red rear running lights! i have polar white so i need to clear them. unfortunately smokeout is easy right now and clearing is yet availible.
thanks! ive had those for MONTHS and had yet to do anything with them. my friend offered to trade his slipstreams for my grids but i thought these matched my xb a little better. and i originally had all my lights tinted EXCEPT the rear running lights (and the headlights of course)... but i decided to take everything else off. and i really dont mind the red light toooo much. it does bring out my injen sticker!
swtbabiboi4u 02-09-2004, 03:02 AM bah! nahhh u should be able to take down a honda element. i take them down all da time =) post pics of the rotas asap gotta peep em out =)

Chrno 02-09-2004, 03:08 AM cool cool Thanks! =) How do u like ur springs so far?
mrlaypo 02-09-2004, 05:16 AM theyre ok. im impatiently waiting for them to settle a little more. :P i want that fender gap to POOF and disappear. of course, i guess putting on 15s doesnt really help. but o well. at first i was hesitant to buy these springs cuz a few people on here were complaining that the ride was too bouncy. my rides been ok though. its not any bouncier than the road itself is making it at least.
Chrno 02-09-2004, 06:18 AM naw its not bouncy.. what you are feeling is the car hugging the road. just wait for the springs to set in and it will be a great ride =) did u get shocks?
mrlaypo 02-13-2004, 06:51 PM no i havent replaced my shocks yet. theyre still ok. ive left my car alone this whole week cuz im in vegas and not returning til tonight so hopefully theyve settled a liiiiiiittle bit. not as much as if id been driving it but hey, whatever.
Chrno 02-14-2004, 04:59 AM if you want ur springs to settle in quick and good. jus drive it a lot and try to do lots of turns =)
your stock shocks should be good for another 16 months or so... my car is 6 months old and my shocks are good for another 16 months as well :D
