Well...I was Clearing and Blacking out my Tail Lights whe I got the genius idea of cooking the lens to dry the paint quiker. Not a good Idea Me. It melted and now I/'ve only got on Tail Light which looks bad as hell if I might say so myself...but one non- the less. Anyone got a extra one lying around I/'ll pay for it. Thanks all.

Yowza, you must have really cooked it. I've put my tail lights in the oven numerous times without melting them.

 

Yeah ive been on almost a year and not posted cause i Just got back from Korea....I was internetless for over a year I dunno why they melted either .... Ive cooked plenty of stuff and nothing has ever happend till just yesterday. :/ Oh well....thats life i guess.

Yeah I Pm/'ed Him just waiting on a response now. This sucks...I think it sucks worse cause the light that i didnt melt came out freakin sweet.

at what tem were you cooking that light....i'm thinking about clearing my corners think i'll try the screw driver method to be on the safe side...

'cooking' spray paint is a bad way to dry/cure it. it's not designed for that process. it's also a good way to blow the kitchen (or more) up since you're forcing a lot of fumes out of the fresh paint and into a confined area with either exposed flames or red hot metal -- *BOOM!*

 

I had the temp at about 75 to 100 degrees. I/'ve never had a problwm with it so i dont know what happened this time. :/ Havent blown anything up yet hope to never have that problem. I always leave the oven door cracked to not have the pressure build up but i dont think you can build up enough pressure in a conventional oven to blow much up. Gonna have to write to myth busters on that one Thanks to everyone for all their help it/'s been greatly appreciated I/'ll try to get some pics soon....One more thing any Scions on Ft.
