I was scoping out my box this morning and I started thinking about what if we could take the rear seat cushion off and have a sort of storage box underneath it - kinda like where the battery goes in the old VW bugs.

Has anyone tried to see if this is a possibility?

I was thinking about trying to take that cushion off, but I didn't want to mess around with it until I saw what everyone here thinks about it.

 

What do you mean by putting a box underneath it. Do you mean cutting foam out of the seat cushion? Under the metal is the fuel tank.

 

OK scratch that idea, didn't know thats where the tank was.

 

I have this under the front seat, *** its not installed currently***


Here it is... Its called the CD Drum... Hould about 100 c/d's and was 25 Bucks


Its about a foot (or less ) and fits snugly under the front passenger seat. I had to remove it because i spilled a soda and it got allover the exteriror of the drum, but because of its great design none of my c/d's got wet


Here it is open..... holds 100 cd,s , flips up so i have easy acess to the c/d's


Heres a closeup on the way ti holds c/d's , this pic was taken of the one in my house for my computer games..... thats why it says sims... I have 2 of them


The cool thing is that it has a lock on it! so without the key nobody can open your drum great for when my dad drives my ride

I know in my wife's Silhouette, the back seat folds down and the space under the seat is GONE.

Is this the same case with the box, or is there space still there with the seat folded flat?

 

the space never changes in the xb........ u cant remove the seat.... then u fold it down nothing under the seat changes

 

XBman, isn't it awkward reaching down between your legs to get a CD?

 

not myne... the passengers of which is usually my gf....

But really when the car is warming up i can pull out each of the slips that hold 2 c/d's and most of them are c/d's with 80 songs on them so im fine for a while,

 

My girl would get ____ed if i reached in between her legs everytime. She pregnant so she doesnt need me anymore anywho.
