Default Space between seats?

OK so i dont actually own a Scion...YET... but im purchasing one this summer, and i was thinking of an insane sub enclosure that would be made of all fibergalss, and start at the front dash, and flow down and all the way to the rear hatch area. I was going to put a 10" JL W7 between the 2 front seats, and (by removing the 60 section of the rear seat and replacing it with another single seat) put another 10" W7 between the rear seats. My question is how much space is there between the 2 front seats? The box width for the sub is 11.5" - could i clear it? Or will i have to set the box behind the seats? I went to the SF International Auto Show (Yeah, it was freakin bomb) and there was a tricked out yellow xA that had 4 10" between 2 racing seats in the rear...it was sooo money! You could hear the bass all throughout the Moscone Center! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if it doesn't fit there you could always just build the box skinny and then have the top open up to be wider. it seems you are looking to do something like they do in trucks and that idea is really good. it will look tight.
