Default Changing Rear Brake Pads Problem. PIC Included

So ive done my front pads already. Im changing the rears and there is only 1 caliper bolt, so I slide the caliper up. I took the old pads just fine, put the new ones in and lubricated them and compressed the piston with my C-clamp. And when I tried to slide the caliper back in I encountered this problem shown in pic.

The caliper hits the brake pad. It seems I do have a clearence on the side of the piston. BUt the rear caliper top part doesnt come off completle like the front one, and the top part doesnt go back and forth only up and down. How do I make it fit?

was the piston compressed all the way? also last time i did this to another car, i forgot the rotor was not pushed in all the way, other than that u might have the wrong pads

make sure caliper is pressed in all the way. Also the "outer shell" or the piece thats hitting your brake pad can be adjusted back and forth. The pin it connects with you can slide it on.

So try pulling that piece forward and it should move closer towards you and allow you to fit it over the brake pad

Yeah piston is compressed all the way. Rotor pushed all the way, im pretty sure there the right pads they fit but outer part hits the brake pad.

It can be adjusted back and forth right?? Thats what im thinking, but its stuck as hell. Even sliding the dam caliper was hard since its hard to push it up.

You should just have to slide it forward. Make sure nothing is preventing it from sliding forward.
