So I been driving it like this for some months now forgetting to really deal with it.Im not sure how important it is to have it there but I havent noticed anything. At 1st I thought maybe water could get in but no, hasnt happend.Anyway, I want to do something about it now.

The rubber strip easily snaps into place but it just doesnt stay put. The obvious answer would probably be Super Glue I guess. Any other suggestion. I included some Pics for a better idea What Im talking about. Thanks.

I think Toyota warranties this, or I could be wrong. and NO to super glue, super glue = duct tape

I don't think that's covered under the warranty... You could always try, depends on how generous the service manager/tech feels that day.

yeah, mine started to come out. just went to my dealership, told them about it, they referred me to the guy who does their glass work, i went over and he just put it back and sealed it with one of his adhesives he uses for windshields. took 5 minutes, uses painter's tape to hold it in place for 24 hours to fully adhere. wasn't charged for it either. he says he has actually seen a few tc's with that problem as that strip is only pressure fitted at the top and should have something to hold it in.

They did the same with mine. Just ran a bead of windshield sealant, popped the strip in and tapped down for 24hrs.

Thankfully, I haven't had that problem, but good information to know. Once it hits summer here in Texas, the roof stays closed and the shades are drawn so I don't ignite in the drivers seat.
