hey im new to the forum and this is my first scion, i just purchased this on sunday and it came with the rims already but i dont know what size they are or anything about them. I'm looking for a mild drop with the ride being close to factory or a little stiffer.

I agree the NF210 is the way to go.

 

I have NF210s in the front and Tein H Techs in the rear. If I could choose one, I'd get the H Techs.

 

how would i find out if my wheels will rub the fender or not?
i dont know the size or specs of them

 

What's the size of your tires? If they are something like 225/40/17, then you would know the diameters are 17s. For the width and offset, they are probably printed on the back of the rim.

If you take a better picture of your wheels' clearance, I bet we could help out more if you want to go lower.

 

The size and offset are stamped on the inside of the wheel. If you jack up the car, you might be able to see them with a flashlight, or just pull a wheel off.

Once I know the size & offset of the wheels, as well as the tire size, I can let you know if you'll rub or not.

If the car is new, then it has factory/TRD rim/tire options. Nothing there will conflict with NF-210.

 

yeah its new. so you're saying the wheels on it now have the specs of either the factory wheel/ TRD wheel/ or one of the other wheel options?
i guess that would make sense since they wouldnt really have to size up a new wheel/tire combo and just copy whatever fits.

edit: would the DF-210 give it a lower drop? and will it cause me to scrape going over speed bumps/driveways?
the roads around me are usually pot hole infested too.

 

The wheels in your picture do not look like Toyota or TRD. It looks like the dealership must have put on after-market wheels (and tires if they're not 16" wheels).

The DF springs do give a lower drop than the NF's:
NF210 = 1.0"F/1.7"R drop
DF210 = 1.7"F/2.1"R drop

You will need to drive a little more carefully & slowly over speed bumps & driveways with the DF's as compared to the NF's.

I'd still like to know the wheel size & offset, as well as tire size, to confirm if you might rub with a drop, particularly if you're considering the DF springs.

 

yeah theyre not toyota brand at all, they were put on by the dealer.
i'll ask them the size of the wheels when i bring it on friday for my alarm install

 

The service dept. won't have a copy of the original receipt (which probably doesn't list the offset anyway), so have them put it on the lift while it's in the service bay and look at the inside of the wheels to get the size & offset.
