Default TRD Sway Bar Bushing Install

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but did anyone have problems sliding the bushings through the TRD Sway Bar? I followed the instructions (including greasing the bushing), tried different ways of pushing the bushing through; but for the life of me I can't get it past the mounting ends. Very frustrating!

Appreciate all your insights! SL is a great forum that I started reading about a month ago, when I decided I was going to buy an xB. Based on what I've read; I've installed the NF210s last night (car is still new, less than 75 miles), attempted to install the TRD Sway Bars, ordered the Rumion Spoiler. I know, modding is addicting! I probably won't buy anything else for awhile (famous last words )!

Thanks in advance!

Just try pushing really really hard. Or use two vice grips to have equal pressure on both sides of the bushing. It's important to have equal pressure across the bushing or it will be a PITA to get in there.

The bushings should be split. Mine were. If yours are not, you could always cut them.

Thanks all for your feedback! Stunman Mike, were your bushings split in just one spot (base) or two (base and point)?

Mine were split at the base. Don't waste your time trying to slide the bushings on the bar. When I first got mine, I thought that is what I was going to have to do. The more I looked at it, the more I realized that it is nearly impossible. The bushings are of a very stiff plastic. They will not flex enough to fit over the dividers in the center of the sway bar.

Then I noticed they were split and I had an "oh....that's how" moment.

If yours are not split, just cut them. There really is no other way to get them on.

Thanks to Stuntman Mike I installed my TRD Sway Bar today. Using split bushings is the only way to go! My car handles better with the sway bar.
