07 radio to 09 radio
They went from the 3 plugs to a single plug... I havn't got it to work in mine yet either. I even tried to wire in the large single plug but there is an addition 9 or so wires and everything is a different color.
If you are really good at electrical stuff it's the power that's the problem. If I have the same item plug into the power port and the AUX port it works... I tried putting an additional power in each connector but nada. Might be ground?

people should do more research instead of just assuming..
have fun, but the "easiest" way is to find and use the new harness made or the '08+..
though from a difficulty standpoint.. installing a brand new aftermarket deck would be even easier.

I just finished changing my tC's '07 non-ipod headunit to a '08 ipod-ready base grade (T1808 headunit. I also happened to get a deal on an '08 (made 5/08 dash wiring harness that I removed the iPod wires from, taped them up nice, and routed them along the existing harness from the console to the radio. Bought the iPod "customer cable" from the dealer's website, now the iPod works perfect, although the AUX jack does not function, which doesn't bother me.
The '08 AUX jack assembly uses 5 wires and the '07 only 4. The 5 AUX wires in the '08 console plug for the AUX jack are routed to the steering wheel control plug for the back of the radio, but I didn't look to see where the '07 AUX wires go.
Anyone want those '08 wires and AUX jack to try and get their AUX working? They're not cut, and still have the terminal pins attached to them.
Also, this post (and at least one more) https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...ht=08+radio+xb has some insight to make the headunit "think" it has something plugged into the AUX.
