Default My car is keeping the change (so to speak)

Hi,

I'm having a problem with the "change cup" in my tC.

Over the years I've had the car, the occasional quarter, dime, whatever has fallen under the space where the cover folds into when open. Now it's come to the point where apparently there is so much change in this space that the cover can only open half way.

Plus I have a bunch of change in the car

So, um, how do I get that change out?

How...? I tried removing the lid, seems firmly in place. Is there a trick to get it out (without breaking it)?

No, you need to take out the entire piece it's held on to.

My Tc's a thief too!
That whole piece that is connect to the change cup has to be pulled out so you can jiggle it around. Change falls over the little wall in there and get stuck behind the door.

Remove the shift cover (pulls right off, then unplug the cig liter), open the arm rest and remove the carpet inside the armrest so you can remove two screws, It should then lift up. Don't pry up to much because your AUX port is plugged in on the inside. You'll have to reach under and unplug them. Then the entire middle consul should lift right out no prob.

remove the shift cover...very easy to do....then around the ebrake you can slide your fingers in through the space and lift up the cup holder part of the arm rest....you dont need to unscrew anything...very simple....should be pics on here on how to dissasemble the interior...do a search and youll find it
