Back Story: Got an 05 tC with TYC lights, install the lights myself back in 2005, didn't have a problem with them until now. Water started to get behind one of them so I decided instead of buying a passenger side light, just to switch them both out with something different. (At the time, the TYC were the only lights different for the tC in 05)

I look online and find Racer Union selling a pair of Sonar lights for a good amount of money (dealership wanted ~$250 for replacing ONE light...F that!) Site states "Plug and Play, easy installation"; so I say what the heck and purchase.

Current Story: Came home last night to a package on my door, which I knew were the lights. Opened them up and was ready to go to town on my tC to replace the tail lights. Got the bumper off, took out the light with the water in it and poured it out on the driveway. Took the wiring harness out and took it inside to put on the Sonar one....only one problem...

Yea....so thats not going to work...unless someone out in SL knows of a way to automagically get this to work. I contacted RU and dude on the phone wasn't any help at all. He stated that they would give me a refund but I would have to pay for shipping back (Bet AMEX will have a word with them on that)

Does anyone know how to hook these bad boys up?????

 

I can help you. Those wierd a$$ plugs plug into the bulb socket coming from the tc. It's the same thing on the anzo tails. just make sure to plug the 3 wire into the 3 wire harness, and the 2 into the 2 wire harness. from there is polarity issue. which is a matter of flipping the 2 wire harness. if that doesn't work just repost and ill try to help.

 

I got that the black end of the Sonar lights go into the holder with the green and black wires...but that leaves a light/holder missing for the reverse light.
