Default ..Rear Side Marker help needed....

Help was received.... one peice unit, no bulb access. (can not edit title) EDIT

Hello again! I bought new (front) LED sidemarkers from e-bay and they are very bright.
So bright that cars will not drive along side of me at night.

They look so good, that I bought two red LED bulbs to put into my rear side marker lights.

So, I looked at the phish and the repair manual. I can remove the nut and get the housing out. I can disconnect the wire connector. The housing looks like it was pressed togather and can not be opened.

How do you change or access the bulb? Is it possible to change the bulb?

Is there an LED rear side marker housing replacement on the market?

Side marker numbers are: 81750 (passenger) and 81760 (driver's side).

The rear markers do not have replaceable bulbs. They're hardwired LEDs, and the whole fixture is glued shut. To replace it costs around $25, to boot.

Of course, I discovered last winter when ice accumulation ripped the wires out of one of my rear markers, so I replaced the whole fixture. It stopped working again recently, so I am inclined to shave the holes at this point.

Default ...LED SIDE MARKER is BRIGHT!!!!!....

Thanks JAM....
I only wanted to change them to put in LED bulbs. I got these LED sidemarkers and was so impressed, that I wanted to go LED all around.

The rear side markers don't look very LED but it should be good enough to think that they are, in some way, LED.
Let me know, post it up here, if anyone finds a replacement side marker unit that will work in the bumper hole.

Do those LED sidemarkers register as a missing bulb? Debating between these or some smoked lenses... I guess I could nightshade these too.

Default ...NO LED Hyper-Blink...

No, there is no fast blink problem. They work VERY WELL. They are very bright. So bright that other cars will not drive along side of me (I wired the side markers to stay on with the parking lights...see DIY).

Your baby sister could do this mod with one hand. Connector is an exact fit. I highly recomend this mod.

E-bay.....$30 with free shipping.

i figured thats what you did by saying you're blinding people next to you. I'd be ____ed to having that in the corner of my eye at eyelevel. only two cars come to mind that should have the sidemarkers on all the time. one is the first gen RAV4 and the other is a old Legacy

it prob just has like a single LED in it that reflects a lot and not like your new front ones that have multiple LEDs.

And doa search on here(there are a several threads) about the rear replacements. You can get front side markers from a Nissan Altima that are clear or red, etc. I don't remember the year(hence the search), and you have to wire up a new bulb socket that will fit them as well.

I have been running a set of these on Gothbox since like early 05 with no probs.
