Default Sunroof not working on my 2006 tC

I got the extended warranty, does anyone know if the sunroof is covered by the extended warranty? I cant seem to find that in the paperwork.

I was just wondering if it needed to be reset. Sometimes when people install cold air intakes, they disconnect the battery and the sunroof and windows stop working, but they really just have to be reset. You could try to reset it by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

As some of the others have mentioned, try reconnecting the battery and hold the moonroof switch in the closed position for about 10 seconds (you might want to do the same for both windows as well because disconnecting the battery might require resetting the windows as well) while key is in the "on" setting in the ignition. Then turn off the car and turn on the car and try to see if it opens. I think that's how I reset mine last time.

Push the button rlly hard and sometimes it opens slowly its because you need to spray like some lithium grease in the track... worked for me at least haha they have like a weird system in them to tell u the tracks need to be LUBED!

there is no weird system telling you it needs to be lubed.

There is jam protection on all the windows which will cause it to stop and re-open if something gets in the way.

Disconnect the battery as mentioned and then follow the initialization on the windows and sunroof mentioned in the manual.

Lube the tracks with silicone. Make sure they are clean, etc. But, if something is binding it up it should open all the way on its own due to the jam protection.

If the above doesnt help, then you may need to have it looked at unless you want to take it apart yourself.

i made an appointment with the dealership for this saturday. friday i will try the battery trick and see if that works. first ill head to auto zone and buy that silicone you guys are talking about.

oh another question, ive got 30k miles on the car. i am sure the dealership will want to replace the engine air filter but im sure i can do it myself for a lot cheaper. where online can i order it and is it easy to replace?

gracias
