Does anyone have any experience wth AIT Racing, Carbon Creations, and Seibon? im thinking of buying an OEM CF hood and just want to know of the quality of their products...

yea.. you just named pretty much the good companies that you can't go wrong with... there's also VIS.. but i don't keep track of whether the companies are making them for different cars and whatnot.

If I remember correctly, most of those companies will do a carbon fiber overlay of fiberglass. Still strong and light option. But more then likely not going to be 100% full carbon fiber. But most full 100% carbon fiber hoods will be lik 2k or more. Just wanted to make sure you know that. Not saying you didn't know that

But yea those companies are great. I had one of those camponies on my old car. Can't remember which one exactly, but great quality. One thing you have to check is some carbon fiber will yellow from the sun light after awhile. But those companies should not yellow

thanks guys..im still unsure which one to pick im down to two choices. its between the AIT Racing and Seibon. AIT is more expensive but i guess you get what you pay for. and hopefully in this case the more money the better quality. does anybody know where i can find the AIT CF hood cheaper than $549 from fastscions.com

i cant remember where i bought my last CF hood for my last 1st gen box. but i do remember it being a fiberglass/CF overlay. also i remember i lost my function to use the washer fluid with my last hood. Is this the same case with the Gen2xB OEM CF hood? i would still like to use them.

I had a seibon hood on a previous vehicle, it was carbon over fiberglass. I was not quite happy with the fitment, it kinda dipped down in the middle at the sides so it did not line up with the fenders the whole way down. And the edges fogged over pretty quick. I traded it after a few months. I always thought seibon was higher quality, maybe i just got a bum hood.

If you're looking for Perfect fit go buy a stock hood cuz that is the only way you'll get it. I have an AIT hood the fitment isn't perfect but its damn close.

I have a Seibon hood and fitment was good, just had to work the latch a little bit. Other than that, I love the fact that they have the holes for the windshield washers already.
