Magnetic oil Plug need on XB2
Hey guys n Gals,
Long time no post, so I figured I'd write ya.
It would appear that a "metal fog" develops in all car motors and can be removed by a magnetic oil plug. The tranny seems the same strong powerful puller, but the motor acts like I put superlube in it instead of just mobile one synthetic oil and a magnetic oil plug.
Seriously!! My XB "glides" down the road now, never acted like this before, so smooth on the decelleration. I wonder why Toyota doesn't make this very inexpensive option available?
Of course I made one I modified using my knowledge of magnetic field theory so that the field would extend out into the moving oil like hands and sweep it for nano-particles of iron and anything else magnetic.
It seems like I waved a magic wand- and poof the friction dissapeared!
I know old-timer tuners that swear by magnetic oil plugs and so I had to make one to prove it to myself. What a difference!!!
I postulate that this occurs:
1. Iron filings make it into the combustion chamber as nano-particles from the brake systems of all the other cars on the road (emperical evidence supports this by taking a magnet and dragging it through the dirt along side the road and see how covered it gets in iron filings and iron dust.
These particles accumulate in the engine and form an iron crust which is knocked off or dragged down the cylinder walls to be deposited in the oil pan or if your oil filter is good enough in the oil filter, I use a 99% efficient one.
These iron dusts are made up of some of the hardest materials next to diamond, this iron dust is made in the same way you make quasi-crystals from iron, you gouge the iron and the super-hard Quasi-Crystals form in the heated peel-off material, ouch!
I notice it collects in the engine and coats the inner walls of the engine oil passages causing undue wear in bearings and tear and friction in cylinders and the combustion chamber, lots of that. This dust cannot be avoided without a magnetic sweeper on the intake and one on the oil plug, if you incorporated a magnet into the oil filter it would be better and wouldn't allow it to pass although this may clog one prematurely.
I will have one of these nano-iron dust removal systems again in any car I own, my Scion needs to outlast everyones so Toyota is again a trusted household word.
Wouldn't it be cool if Scion "manned up" and sent a new magnetic oil plug to all the people who bought one of their cars? It would make them all last longer! So why not? Talk about investing in your future as a car company!
Just remember to use those super-magnets (NIB), they seem to work best.
