Can we put deep dish rims on the tC? I know deep dish rims work with rear wheel drive but will they work on our front wheel drive?

I have 19X9 front and back on mine w/ trd springs, the front ones are fine, however the back tires can rub sometimes if someone or something heavy is in the back seat.

Definitely a big fan of Axis wheels. And any even bigger fan of the MODs. Especially with the Maxis lip in the rear.

Ive got 19x9.5 in the back with 245/35/19s and it only rubs a tiny bit on the inner plastic of the rear bumper cover. I just need to trim it (or it will will eventually rub itself off anyway). Just need to make sure you have the right offset. My rims dont have a ton of dish, but they are still a wide wheel for a fwd car, lol. Oh yeah, and Im lowered 2" in the back.

Yes, the photo has been photshopped, no denying that.

But with my TEINS, they don't rub at all, unless I have passengers in the back. The puurrfect offset in the rear(+40). I'm running a 215/35-19 for that "stretched" look.

+40 for the rears. I have the same wheels as Alex (bluebox) as posted above, just bigger tires...

why are the back rims always wider? What does that do? Is getting them all the same size wrong?

it's called the "staggered" look. it was made popular by rwd cars. obviously wider wheel/tire in back equals better traction. well, fwd or not, some ppl like the look and do it for aesthetic purposes only. i must say, i'm diggin' it.

so if i get 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the back i will not need any special things done for the rimz to fit? if i do then can u guys explain?(offset and stuff) sorry if this is a dumb Q ....TC is my first car hehe

SupaWhiteTc

You should be fine with 18X8" Front with a +35mm offset and the 18X9" Rear will need anywhere between +35mm and +38mm I would say to clear with no rubbing.

a guy at wheelsnext said they tried 19X8.5 w/38 offset all the way around on the tC and it will work without rubbing..not sure if this is true or if he was just trying to make a sale...he said "you can do wonders" with wheels on the tC..they've put 9.5 on the rear without rubbing as well..though he didn't mention the offset on the 9.5....

I've always liked the BBS RS-GT in diamond black... i gotta go with forged wheels since NYC/NJ area might as well be a section of Bosnia with all the damn potholes we have....

anyone know if those PIAAs forged?

nvm about the PIAAs... just read on the site that they are low pressure cast

i wanted the mod 7's in black. i love them. who cares who has them. most of the people around here cant afford rims or have no taste at all if they do buy rims anyways....so i dont have to worry about anybody having them :)

yeah the se7en mod in black is my fave wheel. i have had them since the days when it was only available in silver finish. I had them in early 03 in 19's for my cougar and last year went to 20's. Definately a nice looking wheel and it is popular b/c it's a hot design not b/c it is cheap. Both sets I have had were powdercoated by a local shop.

ya i love em. sometimes i wish i'd gotten 19 or 20s. the 18's look too small sometimes. I just wanted a balance of looks/comfort. either way im happy w/ em.

Love it or hate...just somthing I decided to photochop. I guess I'm alittle out there in terms of creative. But to each his own...right? Just trying to stem away from the norm.
