Default Tranny swap advice

I recently purchased a used transmission with LSD installed already and am trying to decide whether I should do it myself with a buddy that has worked on several Honda transmissions but never a Toyota or get it installed by my mechanic?

I have fairly good confidence that my buddy can handle swapping out my transmission. I would like to know if there's anything different about dropping our tranny compared to dropping a honda tranny?

Any suggestions or precautionary advice is greatly appreciated!

just make sure the vehicle is jacked up sturdly enough to where you dont run the risk of it falling on you, as the axles (at least my past two times) do put up a little fight on the tranny side of things on the way out. once thats done its not too tough at all

best of luck, and a tc service manual is your best friend on a job like this
