Anyone Use These Tires Before? (for stock rims)
I found a pretty good deal on some Kumho Ecsta AST's and I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with them. Theyre goin for $71 ea/ and the stats on them are really good.

I haven't used them but after my yokahamas were done I looked at these. Based on the reviews and the treadwear, these tires aren't bad for the price. But I never got them. I went out nd bought sum michelin mans.lol
Alright tires overall. Sold a lot of them back when I was doing tire work. One thing I stress is treadwear ratings. The higher the rating, the longer they last under normal driving conditions. This relates into a better overall tire that will last.
yea theyre treadwear is 400 A A and the highest on that site is 500 i think. All the expensive tires are like 250-300 AA A. The higher the treadwear, the harder the rubber which doesnt stick to the road like the softer and stickier lower treadwears correct? But the lower treadwears wear out more quickly because of the rubber compound. correct me if im wrong, im just now learning about all this, never really payed attention to my tires much but now i want to
Yes, higher treadwear number = longer life but with less grip due to harder compound... lower treadwear number = shorter life, but usually more grip due to softer compound.
You can also look at the traction ratings for more comparison info...
