View Full Version : Can you use your own shift knob with TWM short shifter? verditsgerman 03-04-2005, 08:34 PM Or is theirs welded on? randode 03-04-2005, 08:40 PM its threaded just like stock maximus96 03-04-2005, 08:40 PM it doesn't come with a knob tcrican 03-04-2005, 08:46 PM Yes u can. This is a pic of mine with the twm short shifter http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/9/web/717000-717999/717341_2.jpg motozen 03-04-2005, 09:30 PM personally i like the stock shifter knob with the TWM. I tried out the TWM knob and it just didn't feel right. Too ricey. I didn't feel much difference between the two too. Don't be miss lead in thinking you HAVE to have the TWM shift knob because I think that is a low type of sales pitch. Anybody have any other suggestions of knobs? OBX with the TWM SS pretty good? anybody? anybody? nethack4ever 03-04-2005, 10:02 PM With the TWM being shorter, do you have to have a weighted knob in order to make the shift easier? Or do you feel that the shift effort is roughly the same? None of the weighted knobs that I can find really appeal to me. I'd like to get a non-weighted one, but don't want to sacrifice the quality of the shift. brownbanana 03-05-2005, 12:51 AM its not as easy, but not hard by any means |
