XB2 Exhaust

XB2 Exhaust
I know much has been said about cat backs and axle back exhausts and it's very subjective as to who has the best.
But, who do you think has the best deepest sound without going overboard and being a nuisance? And, who do you believe makes the most popular exhausts for the XB, the one bought by the majority of XB'ers?

Tsudo, Borla, and TRD are the most popular exhausts you'll see on here.
Tsudo is popular mostly for their Fireball exhaust, which is a dual catback. This is the one I will be getting for my xB. It doesn't make an ostentatious sound, but you have the option of removing silencers in order to get a deeper sound.
Borla is the next popular one, as a single exit exhaust. This one sounds really deep.
TRD is next, and they design the TRD Sport Muffler. It is a sporty, single-exit design.
If you're into deep sounds without being a nuisance, I'd steer you towards Borla. I think Strup makes a deep-sounding exhaust for the xB, but I never see anything on ScionLife about them.

I've been looking around on YouTube and saw a few clips of the HKS exhaust. Sounded the best to me...not raspy, fairly deep, not "fart-cannish" at all. That's the route I plan on taking when I decide to upgrade.

IIRC there are several axle-back options, 2 cat-back options and 2 full exhaust options. If you're looking to add power and not just sound, you'll need a cat-back or preferably a full exhaust. The 3" CXR full exhaust is a poor option because it's horribly loud and too big for NA apps. That leaves only the Strup, Tsudo cat-backs and the Ebay full 2.25" exhaust.
Descendant is working on a 3" full exhaust for the XB2 and since it will be about the same as the CXR exhaust, I suggest that anyone interested should contact Rob at Descendant and express your interest in the 2.5" full exhaust that he claims will follow the over-sized and overly loud 3" system.
Keep in mind that the oem mid-pipe is only 1.8" ID so 2.5" axle-backs only add maybe 3-4whp. The Tsudo and Strup systems replace the tiny oem mid-pipe and should add another few whp above the typical axle-back. The outlet on the scuba tank is only 1.8" ID so replacing the scuba, mid-pipe and axle-back should net close to 10 whp. A 2.5" ID s-pipe should add a few more ponies if you have a header.
