Default Portland/Hillsboro > Can someone with Tanabe NF210 take me for a ride?

I’m on the verge of buying an xB but I don’t like the ride quality. From reading the forums, the Tanabe NF210 springs are suppose to improve things significantly, but I really need to experience the ride quality to know if it’s going to work.

I live in Hillsboro, OR and was wondering if there’s anyone in the area that would be willing to take me for a drive so I can know if this is a viable solution before plunking down a lotta Gs on a new car. I can give you some gas money and a little extra to make it worth your time.... like $20... not a big deal.

Much thanks,

-Nathan

I have DF210's on my '04 xB. It's a nice drop and the ride can kinda be rough at times but it isn't too bad. It really just depends on the road you're on. I live in Milwaukie so Hillsboro is kinda out of my way, unless we do a Friday or Saturday Sonic meet.

Thanks for the offer to help, but I should probably try the NF210s on an 08+ xB, since I'd be gett'in a 2011.

Thing about the stock suspension is that I like to rest my head lightly on the headrest... and the stock suspension is so jouncy that my head is constantly bouncing off the head rest. I rented a 2010 xB this summer (twice actually) and the ride just killed it for me. If it were just a wee-bit less jouncy, it'd be fine because I really like the xB otherwise...

PS -- I go up to the Vancouver, WA and Kelso/Longview area a lot too... if there's anyone up there.

There isn't many modded scions here in the kelso Longview area. So no luck up here.

I got the impression that the NF210s are the most popular springs for the xB...

No?

^yeah that. everyone runs the DF210's because they have more drop. if not the DF210's then coils or air.

This is the giant thread I was going by and why I want the NF210 springs. I really don't care about the drop; more interested in the ride quality.

The ride is much smoother than stock, as well as feeling much more planted to the road through turns, even on the stock tires and wheels. Talk about the best of both worlds!

yeah, i think that most of us are looking for drop. those looking for more comfort/ride stability usually go for coilovers. sorry.
