Hey guys, just got a 2011 tC today and love it. Traded my 09 xB in for it, couldn't be happier. but anyways any antennas that will replace my ugly stock one?
Thing is long and obnoxious. sorry if there is another thread on it here, I'm new to tC forums!

 

Just wanted to welcome you to the forum. Let us know how the car is when you have had it longer. I am sure many of us 1G tC owners would like to know first hand.

 

Maybe find a friend with an S2000 and try to see if their's fits, then buy one.

 

S2000 antennas do fit, also 2nd gen xB's as well as xD antennas fit if you trim a little bit of the plastic on the bottom of it.

so the s2000 antennas fit? any year s2000? also is the only one you need to trim is the xD? the xB fits perfect?

^^ that's what I'd suggest first too. I've only looked and been in the 2011 tC once and that was a few days ago at my local Toyota/Scion dealer that know me pretty well. Im not for certain, but I'd say there's probably a good chance that the S2000 will fit on the '11 just the same way most of us have done that swap on our 05-10 tc's. The OEM one is so frickin' long I think you could use it for a fishing pole in a pinch. lmao.

 

The S2000 will fit, one of my Gen1 freinds let me try thiers on.
The xD and xB will beed to be trimmed. I had the xD one laying around from the last project build which is why I used it. The trimming is only by about a quarter of an inch, very small amount, I just used a pair of scissors to do it.

So my father bought a Prius a few weeks ago and I had been giving him hell about how goofy they look. During one of the convos I said "I could give you my antenna and it would be the icing on the cake to make you're Prius super goofy..." *light bulb* Swapped the antenna's and it works perfectly and looks good. Its about the same length as the S2K antenna (approx. 6in) from what I can tell from the pics but has a spiral running the length of it. Just thought I would share another option.
