Default Skunk2?

So been doing a lot of reading and you tubing and still not sure what to think about this setup..

What i want to achieve is nice low throaty tone with no rasp all threw the rpm range i dont race but i do travel a lot and i set cruse at 80mph for up to 8hours dont want to be def with in hours..you know what i mean?

And im getting mixed sounds from this setup one vid sounds really good no rasp and low tone just sounds good then i listen to another and sounds like cheap honda..

So if there is anyone out there is wanting the same sound that im waniting and has this setup and like it let me know please or if you have heard one or what..

Or if should look at something els dont really care about brands just want to get something that will give the sound that i want..

Thanks.....and i have no header or CIA if that matters but i will get one sooner or later...got a 100,000miles on the car so i figured its time to do something with it...lol

EDIT: I guess i should add that if you guys think i need something els to achieve my goal, my budget is about 500$ to 600$ tops...

I've never heard the exhaust in person but if you had a CAI it'll make it a little more throaty.

i have the skunk2 on and i've had it for the past year or so. i got it used from my friend who had it on his turbo tc for about the same amount of time. in person it's on the louder side from behind (but certainly not the loudest out there), doesn't rasp at all, and is definitely deep. just dont ever get a header basically. my only complaint is that the axleback piping has some surface rust on it when it's marketed as stainless steel. but its not anything i can't live with.

Let me help you decide. I personally have had a skunk2 catback on my tC for 2 years now and its exactly what your looking for. absolutly no rasp just nice deep tone no matter what gear or rpm. the sounds is deep and not very loud when city or highway cruzing but when you get on it, it gets pretty loud and even more deep toned but not annoying in any way. Just dont get headers otherwise you will kill the perfect sound the skunk2 gives out.

By all means though, get it.

magnaflow ftw.

you'll like it.

the only bad part is that you have to cut. Other than that, the sound is great. Very low and throaty. Like Subie

Well i was going to place my order and started to find absolute lowest price and came across this...

http://www.racelandus.com/p-70-catba...-tc-05-10.aspx

Its well over half off of the skunk2 and looks almost the same wondering if this will sound the same and perform kinda the same.? I know it wont be as good as performance but as long as it sounds descent that will work for me

Take a look at this thread:

This video might help as well, even though he also has an aftermarket s-pipe and intake:
