Default Problem with Waterfall

After one of my friends took off my Waterfall, the stupid thing has been a nuisance. The silver part all the way on the bottom left (next to the E-Brake) keeps rising up. Once I push it down, it is fine for about 1 minute, then it rises up again. Has anyone else had/having this problem?

Pull it off and put a little dumdum on the clip. They just get worn out and don't hold well.

Before you try the option suggested above in this thread...
Try taking the lower portion of the waterfall off and make sure it's reassembled correctly.
To do this:
1. unscrew and take off the shift ****.
2. The lower portion of the waterfall will come off in one piece, which starts just below the "cubby" space under the HVAC portion, and includes where the cigerette lighter is, and also includes the shift boot.
3. Use both hands on the side pieces of the lower waterfall, and evenly pull it up and off.
4. Unplug the power lead/wire off the back of the cigarette lighter.
5. Now with the lower piece completely removed. Look underneath it. The 2 sides of this portion are actually assembled to the center piece you just removed with actual screws. Verify that they have all been put back in, and that they are in correctly (i.e. flush). If one of the screws on the bottom part is either missing or not screwed in all the way this would certainly account for side piece "lifting" back up when you try to push it down.
I've had my interior (including the waterfall) out and in a few times when doing my custom interior... and never had an issue with it not sitting exactly where it should be.
Whatever you do, just take your time and most importantly, DON'T force anything in or out. They are only made out of a thick plastic. So they won't bend like metal would, it'll just simply break it. And those pieces are generally a lot more expensive than they should be.

Hope that helps ya out.

sounds like the part wasn't installed in properly.... probably a tab that was warped or bent that needs to be straightened out and inserted correctly
