I got a small burn hole in my front driver's seat. Does anyone know of anywhere where you can buy replacement seat cover's or any other ideas of how I can fix this small problem?

If you're looking for something inexpensive you might consider sheepskin covers or sheepskin-like covers. Back in October 2004 I purchased the following from Target: "Sheep-Kin" Seatcovers: 100% Pure Australian Wool with heavy-duty Cotton/Poly lining; Color: silver-gray/light blue; Cost: $45/each; Brand: Auto Apparel; SKU: 092070124 or 859789710026; Made in Uruguay by Texil La Paz. The covers were easy to install and are a good fit. They only cover the top 20% of the seat back and don't cover those plastic hanger hooks. The covers have 8 heavy elastic straps with hooks that fit into predrilled holes in the bottom of the xB's seats. They are a nice, soft, seemingly durable material. Comfortable in hot and cold weather. RPM warlok9 03-08-2005, 09:02 PM Have you considered just having it repaired at an auto upolstery shop? Probably an easy fix for them, small cigarette holes are usually pretty easy fixes for them. Won't be 100% but darn close, like 98%. You'd be amazed. XBman 03-09-2005, 12:03 AM get some glue and a razor blade Cut away the burnd cloth, just enough so where you couldnt tell there was a burn. then reach under the seat where there is some extra material and cut enough so that you could fill up the hole. Wanted as spares. Believe I paid $75, including shipping. I used some of the material to cover my armrest, so it matches the seats. You would only need the seat, not even the set. But the patching job mentioned in an earlier post would be much less, and they can do a "professional job. |
