Default I need help removing my carbon fiber pillars please!

Hi! New user here, but I need help!

I bought some inexpensive carbon fiber pillars (and learned my lesson!)... want to remove them to put my new ones on. They are REALLY stuck on there! Please help! Thanks.

Yes, the B pillars. I was told fishing wire, but it keeps snapping when I drag it behind it. It's on there really good. I was using a plastic scraper so the paint won't chip, but it's really slow.

^^^ X2 there my friend.... It's usually a fairly time consuming combo/method, but always the best way IMHO.
If you want a quality result/finish... you've gotta put in the time because....
Fast and Easy usually = Looks like crap.

Thanks to all! I was ____ed cuz I ran it through a drive-thru car wash, one of those touchless ones, which was fine, except since they were inexpensive, a chunk of one of the pillars came off! Lesson learned for sure.

Default At the shop!

I just dropped my xA to the body shop on Thurs for a body kit install, new carbon fiber fuel door and removal of my old cheap carbon fiber pillars. I found these really thin, but great quality pillars (cross your fingers!). I will take pics when it's all done.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! After reading all of it, I just decided to have a pro handle it.

Default Job not done yet!

I still haven't gotten this done... I had a nightmare of a time dealing with the body kit Co. that shipped to me... they sent the wrong kit for an earlier year. They still insisted that it was right when the labels clearly stated another year. Plus, the fog lights were obviously mismatched! I have square ones and the kit had round ones. No good.

Finally got my refund, two months later! Anyway, I plan on bringing my car in to get a pro to remove them and install my new ones. I'll take pics and post. Cross your fingers everyone.

I tried fish line, but kept tearing. That's why I decided to just bring it in.

Dude that stinks. I hate when companies just jerk you around. I ordered new signal markers from a 360tuners.com I waited 3 and half weeks for them. Called got put on hold so called back they finally told me they discontinued them. Well were you ever going to call me?? Asses now I just bought another set off amazon so I hope those come.
Well good luck with the whole body kit situation and pillars.

Thanks Russ! I'll take pics of my new pillars... it's hard not to get discouraged, but we'll see if I ever decide to try it all again! I hope your order comes in too and without problems!

Hi- Been trying to get my car into the shop. I've been traveling a lot which makes it damn near impossible. Hoping to bring it in next weekend. Will keep all posted and finally put pics up!
