I've been searching since last night and unable to find an answer.
Ok so i picked me up a used 2010 flint mica with 8000 miles on it.
This is the radio the car has. (Borrowed this pic from google)

I see it does say iPod on there.
There is also an iPod port in the middle compartment and when i pop the cap cover off there is a Grey port there.
Is all I am missing is this cable?

Thanks for the reply dude. I can't be without my music.
I actually ordered one from eBay for 20 shipped in hopes that it would work.
Thanks for the offer though.
Thanks again for your help.

yeah. no prob. just to let u know, when i first got my car brand new in august of 2009 with only 8 miles on it(also a 2010 fm), the ipod worked really well on my stereo, but like about 9 months into it, it started lagging. like when i go to menu, it takes a while to load all the songs or the artists. idk if its my ipod being outdated. i have a 2nd gen ipod touch. its really annoying to use now so i just use the aux cable all the time now. hope urs works out better than mine. lemmie know if u have anymore questions regaring ur new tc

jeremy, your lag problem is with your ipod. when it's connected via that cable, it charges every time the vehicle is turned on. ipods have a lithium-ion battery which has a suggested total number of recharges in the battery's life (~500). thus every time the vehicle turns on, it decreases the overall life of the battery. same thing happens with your laptop and cell phone. best thing to do is use the aux cable and let the battery die completely before recharging it.

I had a setup in my previous car which also charged the ipod. I never ever unplugged it unless it was to update it. The ipod still works great and does not lag at all, holds a charge for days as well. What you are describing seems like the drive inside the ipod going bad.

it takes a couple years of this, but trust me. it's the battery.
