Default Garage Door Opener Location

I realize this is going to be one of those "are you serious?" kinda threads, but go with it.

Where are you keeping your garage door opener? The visors are so thick, the clip I have for my opener won't work. I tried attaching some velcro and putting it between the driver's seat and door, but the remote doesn't register from there. Has anyone found a good place to keep the remote handy?

Thanks

I always wanted to put a button where those blank slots are beneath the steering column. The same ones that fit the fog light switch on my 1st gen.

omg, i had the same exact problem when my family bought a rav4. we ended up putting it in the cup holder. simply clipping it on the rav4 visor was not an option at all!

Haha - I had the same problem with the visor being too thick! I just keep mine in the area under the climate controls.

Thanks for the inputs. I've just been setting the remote in the center area, but I was hoping I was missing some really clever Scion had come up with and I hadn't notice.

the non-cup holder part of the cup holder section in the door

the small square section

it says to not put cups there so i thought of something else

keeps it hidden and my garage door opener is the exact size..well a little bit bigger but it allows it to lay in a slant instead of flush

i love it there, you just have to get used to reaching down to click the button...but after a while you get used to it

Yes...I did. It holds it a lot better and does not spring up and down when you press the button.

MightyP...works well, dosen't it?

XerotC: Yep, I flattened the clip with a pair of pliers. Otherwise it won't sit flush.

2tCornot2tC: It's spectacular. Blank spot is even the perfect size. I doubt Scion could have designed it much better if they had meant to.
