Default Rattle in front left wheel

Ok, so I have an '08 tC and I've been having this bad rattle from the front left wheel. If im pressing on the gas, it doesnt rattle. If i press on the brake, it doesnt rattle. I only hear it when Neither of the two are applied. I've replaced the wheel bearing, front left axle (but I had a punctured cv boot), new brake pads, and new rotor. Idk if it's a bad ball joint or tie rod? Im out of ideas. Please help lol.

Those would be the logical next things to check.. Jack the car up and have a friend turn the steering wheel back and forth. Look and listen for slop. Ball joints and tie rods are "loaded" with more tension when the gas or brakes is applied. They could be moving around when you are off the gas/brake causing your rattle.

Thanks for the advice! I'm actually taking the car to a shop to replace the ball joint pressed in and see If that fixes it.

I would take it to a shop and see what they say, not just start throwing parts at it again. You can easily check for tie rods and ball joints being bad.

I would ask them for a second time. But they are apparently deaf and can't hear the rattle? But everyone else can. I know enough about cars, and have eliminated enough parts trying to figure this out, I think It may just be a ball joint.

It rattles while coasting, but even louder over bumps.

Already checked the lug nuts, the lugs themselves, and wheel is centered.
