Those people are wrong. Bone stock will always be the least inexpensive. Make sure you don't purchase factory options unless you want to be paying through your financing. For stuff like wheels and other things, go aftermarket.

okay so just pretty much just buy it stock and then go and buy it from someone else??...but see the thing is that i dont want to buy junk for my car...and its bad to say but when a female walks into a car shop or anywhere they try to sell you the stuff that costs the most and most of it is junk...so where can i go to get stuff for my car....??

Yeah, basically. You could try looking on these classified boards to find much stuff actually. And if you're worried about price gouging sexists, try online shopping. Theres a number of credible online stores out there.

Stay away from the lesser accessories at the dealer (door sills, b-pillar appliques, rear bumper protector, etc...) because you can find these hella cheap online...here's a couple of websites that you can check...

Stuff like foglights, alarm system...anything that requires installation other than peel -and-stick is probably better left installed by the dealer at the time of purchase, and if you are financing, you will build those into the price. Of course, if you know someone or a place that will competently install your stuff, go that route. Also, if you finance through Toyota Financial, you should receive a $50 gift card from Scion within a few months' time. Two of the above-mentioned sites will honor that card. Enjoy your xB once you get it!
