Just curious...I just installed my hotchkis springs yesterday, but the rear seems much higher than the front. Could I have installed the rear springs upside down?

I put the rear springs on with the larger diameter coils on the bottom, and the smaller up top.

Maybe they just need to settle? http://www.newscionxb.com/images/smilies/sad.gif

I have the Hotchkis springs, but never had an issue like this. If you can read "Hotchkis" and the part number, then they're probably right side up.

Pictures would certainly help.

just went out to snap a picture and realized that the right rear spring must have somehow slipped off of the upper perch. Im going to run by a nearby muffler shop and see if they will let me take out the rear shock bolts and put it where its supposed to go.

Use a jack takes 10 minutes

Ok, everything is better now. I must have forgotten to make sure the RR spring was fitted into the upper perch.

As a goose egg! Rear now sits lower also :D

I didn't really take into account HOW low these springs are...they couldn't even fit the posts for the lift under it

Nope. I have been on my Hotchkis TVS since it was first released.

My TRD 19's raised me up a little, though. :(

vegan, thanks for the pic request! If you hadn't, I never would have laid on my side on the wet ground to get a picture, and never would have noticed the spring.

Thats just embarassing. I didn't even check to see which way "hotchkis" was pointing.

Heading to the rents house to flip them.....

After an enormous fail on my part, I flipped the springs over in about 10 minutes. It immediately felt even BETTER, and is now a 2 finger gap. Muuuuch better.

It happens, bro! I know I was embarassed when I installed my front sway bar upside down. Face palm indeed.
