Hi everyone I'm about to start installing a leather interior on my 08 tc. I know that on my 08 civic I had to disconect the battery because if I removed the seats with the battery on the airbag light would stay on.

Have any of you removed your front seats without having this problem? Scince this will take some time. I may need to start the car and move around untill I finish>
jUST WANT TO MAKE SURE ifI deisconnect the front seat wires the light wont come on or If I have to disconect the battery till I'm done. Thanks

Yes, the airbag light will go on if you remove the seats regardless if the battery is plugged in or not. You can buy a resistor that goes into the circuit to trick the system into thinking it has stock seats.

 

On a newer car like 08, I believe the airbag light will go on if seats are removed.

 

yeah they light will come on but i dont understand what the big deal is if the lights on..

 

if the light bugs you just open the cluster and burn it out

 

Not 100% sure but in some tcs when the airbag is on the rest of the airbags wont deploy.
