another question about ebay parts...
found these on ebay and was looking for opinions.. not on look more on quality. would love OEM but $200 is a lot plus the price of the hids i would be installing afterward and then there are the "OEM like" ones on ebay but I've read that the lens cracks really easy. since they're universal do you foresee any mounting/installation issues? Thanks

That is a crappy overpriced H3 projector.
Complete garbage.
Any housing can technically be "HID ready" if a HID conversion kit is available for it.
If you want quality, do it right and do it right the first time.
You'll just run into problems cutting corners.
Please save up for actual HID components.
edit: noticed that this is for your fogs. I thought you wanted to do headlight retrofits.
Go buy some from a reputable company.
Search ebay for piaa, hella, or bosch

Just KNOW what you are buying. Plenty of people have had success with proven parts off of ebay, just don't buy the first thing you see without doing research.
If you choose to buy a non ebay product, I don't blame you, a receipt and warranty always trump a great deal unless its a proven part/seller.

I don't think anyone's tried that. I've never seen these on ScionLife during the 2 years I've been a member here.
$60 isn't too bad of a price and would be worth it to at least try it out. It seems reasonable, but when you get it, I'd suggest inspecting the seals.
Honestly, when it comes to actual light housings, you aren't going to get it cheaper, especially when it comes to fog lights. Unless you're okay with the AutoZone knock-offs.
When I think about purchases like these, I want to think about functionality. These are questions that I would ask myself:
1. Am I actually using these as fog lights?
2. Or am I using these for aesthetics purposes?
Functionality over looks. If it's for looks, it's a great buy. For functionality... better save up your money.
