Default sonar harness + oem heads = okay??

So i have the sonar headlights on my xb. After running them for years i have desided to go back to oem. Quick question. will the harness from the sonars work with the oem housings? just want to make sure because they run the same bulb as the tc. I want to order hids so i need to order the correct buldbs.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Well can someone atleast tell me why 9006 bulbs are used with the sonars instead of oem ones? that may be able to answer my question also

They use 9006 because the housing is shaped differently.

Why can't you just plug the OEM wiring back into the OEM H4 bulbs?

I guess I don't understand what you're trying to do here.

I'm a tad lost as well. The stock harness just plugs into the Sonar "split" harness which runs to the 9006 and H1 bulbs. When/if you remove the lamp assembly you just plug the stock harness back into the stock 9003 bulbs.

Unless you're looking at not using the OEM headlight assembly any longer?

Lol. sorry for confusing you guys.. I left a important part out i think. I sold all my oem stuff years ago when i had the sonars installed. I bought a used set of oem's now. The guy said he would include the stock harness as well. But umm he didnt and hasnt replied back to me about them.

So my questin really is. can i just swap out the heads and use the harness, wiring. ect. from the sonars with the oem heads?
But i think you guys just said i cant from what you said.

Wait i think im dumb.lol. The sonar harness is just like a converter to fit with a 9006 bulb huh?. I prob still have the stock harness in there. This is what i get for paying someone to install them because i was too lazy to figure out how to hook up the halos.

You pretty much got it there. The factory wiring should still be there, and you can just plug that right into the OEM headlight assembly.

Jjust check your OEM harness that is in there, be sure the person who installed your Sonars didn't cut/spice any wires for the Halos etc etc

Glad you figured it out... as far as the rubber boot goes, I doubt it'll fit. It's not the worst thing in the world to not have them on there though.

You might be able to find replacements online. Try trdsparks.com

Ok, i got this figured out. The plug part thats goes into a h4 bulb is totally different then the one that goes into the 9006. Seems old school or something the way it plugs in.
