Default HID advice guys...

Hey Guys,

So I installed some 6k HID headlights, H11-55W (low beam only)

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FC22JL4?psc=1 (these ones)

Now the install was a breeze. Took no longer than 5 mins. I turned them on and BAM beautiful super bright white light. One thing I noticed was a buzzing noise from the ballast and after researching online I see it's normal.

Now my concern is that these did not come with a relay harness. Once I researched what the relay harness does to help them, I ultimately see that say if they were to over heat the relay wires they would still overheat the OEM wires an thus the relay harness is useless to me. They only serve to power the HID's if the existing electrical system can't handle the 12v current required.

My question to those who have something similar installed or same or have any experience with HID kits, what are the chances of an HID kit frying the OEM wiring? I love how they look but if there's a good enough chance if could fry my wiring, I could care less about having them.......

Thanks guys.

With 55W bulbs I would run the relay harness so you are pulling power directly from the battery and not through the harness. I run mine on the stock wires but I only have a 35W bulb. The stock wiring is being pushed to run 55W bulbs.

I might just get a 35W HID kit then. The relay harness seems like it would be a long cable because only one of the headlight wires plugs into it and then id have to stretch it to the other side. Seems like id have to tuck the wires behind the strut bar or by the radiator. Thanks for the heads up about the 55w HID.
