Default New performance parts?

So I'm working with a company that currently develops parts for Mazda's and I am trying to push him to produce parts for our shunned Scion market. What kind of performance parts would everyone be interested in seeing produced? If we can get some solid interest I'll have no problem convincing him. Let me know!

Strut bar would be nice. The TRD is awesome, but expensive. The Tanabe is nice, too... but I think it's kind of ugly. Exhaust would be awesome, but difficult to keep cost down around where the TRD eBay knock off is. Even if it was a hundred more, I'd buy it if it's quality.

I definitely agree with both of those. What are thought on a rear strut tower bar and a silicone intake similar to the old Perrin for the gen 1

Since when did we have rear struts? Having a tie bar for the rear shocks would be pretty pointless, just aesthetic.

Maybe a full cage bar-a-ma-bob like Weapon-R makes for the 1st gen...

Most people are looking into "scubatank" replacements.....they are the only part of our exhaust that is actually not mass produced yet.

What parts do they currently make for Mazdas? It would be best to stay with things that they already do.

THISSSSSSS

Also I would like one of the rear tower bars for some looks as well like in the above picture. Just tower bars, doesn't have to be as extensive, and it will have some benefits with body twist.

They make tons of parts for the mazdaspeed parts. Motor mounts, intakes, most of the turbo pipes, braces, etc

I agree 100% thats next on my list so I am hoping to ship mine to him for measurements and sizing.

If they have the ability to make a phenolic intake spacer that would be nice. I used to run one on my MX6 and it made a nice difference.

Well, for a decent replacement for the scubatank, the muffler would have to be an oval one with good quality material, not a cheap glasspack/round can....and the sizing should be appropriate (2.5 inch)

The full ebay exhaust includes a scuba delete.

^^ better idea than buying an eBay exhaust for one piece of it. Cheaper too!

Couple issues with this idea though:

A friend of mine had it. It doesn't fit well, both mufflers are cheap glasspacks, it's not mandrel bent, the inner diameter is 2.25, and not everyone wants a full exhaust because they only need the scubatank.

I've installed two in the past month and they didn't fit that bad. I actually ordered one and I'm going to change out the tail section to something cooler.

Interesting!

I'm the only person I'm aware of that experimented with a smooth bore TBS for the xB2, and I discussed it starting page three of this thread:

After a duplicated successful result, I said I would use phenolic if others expressed interest, but none did -- including you! Funny how these things work out, don't you rhink?

Well, anything that doesn't fit perfectly to me is bad fitment. When my friend would turn hard in his car, a section of the rear part would hit part of the car so we had a ghetto fix to wrap it in high temperature rubber with clamps to prevent it from making the noise. I mean, it's not a big deal, but the other factors are a big thing as well. Glasspacks don't muffle well, don't sound good, and don't last long. 2.25 inner diameter + not mandrel bent = what's the point of "upgrading"?

Phenolic spacers do help a bit I think. I have an intake manifold phenolic spacer in my Supra. It helps prevent the heat from transferring between the intake manifold and head.

Different item, I'm not talking about a TBS but an intake manifold spacer. It decouples the intake manifold from the block to keep it cooler and prevent some pre-heating of the incoming air.
