and my friend Fritz in his VW cabriolet.
DJ_X_Trodinaire 03-16-2005, 03:17 PM good luck on your future races!
and beat that datsun!
Tamago 03-16-2005, 03:51 PM i beat him last month in Hialeah by 1 second (3 seconds counting the cone he smacked) .. :)
mikochu 03-16-2005, 04:04 PM  Sorry I didn't make it. I ended up waking up late on Sunday. With your understeering..time to take out that front sway bar!
Tamago 03-16-2005, 04:05 PM damn no kidding but i ain't going there.. i'm just gonna tighen up the rear some more ;)
mikochu 03-16-2005, 04:07 PM Did you notice the GTSpec brace help at all?
Ashe_WCM 03-16-2005, 04:25 PM I have a race this weekend, I'll try and post a pic or two and my impressions. I usually dont have much issue with understeer.
What type of Springs are you using? And sways?
BeQuietAndDrive 03-16-2005, 04:41 PM Good work man!
Those seats keeping you nice and in place? I sure know I get sick of bracing my knee against the door, haha.
And, you really should take off your front sturt tower bar, if you have it. It's only going to make you understeer more.
Tamago 03-16-2005, 05:05 PM i'm running Tanabe coilovers and Hotchkis sways. i might just try removing the upper strut bar lol, see what happens.. can't hurt, right?
yeah, the seats are keeping me planted perfectly!
Ashe, i've never had understeer problems til this event. i think the long sweeping turns instead of slaloms were my problems. it's hard to keep the tires planted to put down the power.. the inside front just like to spin like crazy.
JMD83 03-16-2005, 05:06 PM Hmmm..... Maybe I'll be racing mine when all the snow clears... Nice job out there and congratulations!
Did you notice the GTSpec brace help at all?
I sure hope so
great job dude!
Tamago 03-16-2005, 05:47 PM it helped (gtspec) but i still understeer horribly.. off to get better rear stiffness for me :)
anyone want to buy my hotchkis rear sway?
mikochu 03-16-2005, 05:54 PM 20 bucks, I'll pick it up today.
Tamago 03-16-2005, 06:31 PM hah.. $60 installed, and u will end up sleeping late lol
give me a little time and i'll have progress auto sway bars available honey baby. winkwink
mikochu 03-16-2005, 06:52 PM get a room..
Ashe_WCM 03-16-2005, 07:00 PM get the progress and install it With the Hotchkiss rear :)
Tamago 03-16-2005, 07:25 PM i'm gonna give the TRD rear sway/brace a try..
Tamago 03-16-2005, 07:28 PM a cool shot from the same day!

Ashe_WCM 03-16-2005, 08:06 PM Frame Braces are not allowed in FSP. (sorry) I would never protest but some people would, Esp. at regional and National levels.
Yeah I hope to have my suspension ^^^That^^^ tight, someday.
Fujiz_xb 03-16-2005, 08:27 PM that must be fun to do. i think i can do that with my xb at 5 MPH.
Tamago 03-16-2005, 08:50 PM Frame Braces are not allowed in FSP. (sorry) I would never protest but some people would, Esp. at regional and National levels.

says who? (frame braces) as long as they're bolted and not welded in place, they're legal.
Tamago 03-16-2005, 09:00 PM i just read everything on FSP suspension, and no where does it say under braces are not legal.
Ashe_WCM 03-16-2005, 09:22 PM The problem isn't that it doesn't say they are not legal. The problem is it doesn't say they are legal.
15.1.B Street Prepared vehicles may only be modified in excess of Stock Category rules in the following ways. Any modification not specifically authorized the Stock Category or Street Prepared Rules is prohibited.
Closest thing I can think of for the Frame Braces would be under Street Modified..
16.1.G Subframe connectors are allowed, but each connector must be attached individually without any lateral components attaching the two longitudal frame rails. Subframe connectors may be bolted or welded. SP(Street Prepared) allowances which authorize unrestricted mounting of suspension components do not permit the incorporation of non-SP-legal subframe connectors into the mounting scheme for a Street Modified vehicle.
I'm not being a ball buster just letting you know. You could do it and 99.0% of people would never know. But it would be a valid protest.
DTurnbull 03-16-2005, 11:13 PM Third place, out of how many? :nails:
Tamago 03-17-2005, 12:40 PM out of 6.
i took 1st out of 5 last 2 times out, and 3rd out of 6 the first time out with the xA
DTurnbull 03-17-2005, 12:45 PM Not bad, not bad at all! I bet everyone here will be interested in whatever you find hooks you up best. I used to race Karts and now all I have is my Xa. I miss that feeling
JMD83 03-17-2005, 02:59 PM 3rd out of 6 is great! Racing just deels awesome! As long as its done safe and legal... The other way feels good too, it's just so wrong. There should be more tracks out there and maybe there would be less craziness on the streets...
Anyways crongats again!
Tamago 03-17-2005, 03:52 PM next autoX is 4/17 so i have a few weeks to get better prepared..
Tamago 03-17-2005, 03:54 PM The problem isn't that it doesn't say they are not legal. The problem is it doesn't say they are legal.

yeah, and meanwhile, we have a ONE SEATED datsun 510 in FSP lol, i guess he's friends with some people..
Ashe_WCM 03-17-2005, 06:35 PM Protest it.
15.1.E specifically requires "No fewer than the original Number of seats"
A driver seat only puts that person in Prepared. If someone is doing something that blatant they are asking for it. If you Protest it and they do nothing you can take it up with the regional board ect.
Just because one person feels its okay to cheat doesn't mean you should let them, or do it yourself.
Tamago 03-17-2005, 06:47 PM *i gotta put my back seat back in * :(
Ashe_WCM 03-21-2005, 01:47 PM Yeah, I talked to our Safety guy about the rear seat thing and he said that unless you are running prepared you have to keep the bench seat.
On the other side of things I placed 2nd In STS yesterday and Paxed 14th of 42.
Waiting for pics to go up.
Tamago 03-21-2005, 02:14 PM awesome placement, and congrats! STS down here would be murder lol :) u got a site for your autoX club? 42 cars only? man i wish our meets were that small.. we coudl get 6-8 runs in that way.
Ashe_WCM 03-24-2005, 02:21 AM http://delta-scca.org/
Yeah Its funny how the regional thing works out. We usually have tons of Street Mod. Noone from FSP but it was a small showing, having it on the military base, and the reshedule as well as a Drift Event and another region AutoX had the numbers down, Ive seen over 125 peoploe registered so...
Next month looks to be a good one.
Tamago 03-24-2005, 12:37 PM wow awesome times out there :) congrats!
