Default Need advice regarding warranty claim

I took my 2010 xb 5 speed w/9500 miles, into the dealership today because I noticed gear oil around the bottom area of the manual transaxle. The oil appears to be leaking from around the area that the drive shaft connects into the trans. The service guy said that since im running DF210 springs and it wasn’t a factory install, that my warranty will probably not cover the repairs to the trans. He said that they will question it and say that the installation was what caused the axle to leak because they don’t know who and if it was installed properly and that when the strut assemblies were disconnected they could have damaged the axle by not supporting the bottom half of the suspension. The vehicle is not due to be looked at until tomorrow and the service guy said he would push for the warranty but he also said to be prepaired for bad news. I been running df’s close to a year and the problem just started a few weeks ago. Has anyone else had a similar situation and do you think I have any grounds to dispute if they deny warranty? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

from what i understand about the "moss magnuson warranty act" they need to prove the install or part(s) in question are the direct cause of the problem.

Update: Everything worked out good. Service guy called this afternoon said the axel seal was torn and they were replacing it and it would be covered under mfg warranty. Thanks
