Default Best Place to Mount 3 Ways in the XB?

I recently picked up a 3 way component set up and I'm trying to figure out where to mount the tweeters. Any suggestions? Pics would be great!

I have my tweeters mounted up high in the pillars and they sound decent but not perfect. I think they would sound good mounted in the door where the mirror mounts if there is enough depth. You should use some two sided tape and try them hooked up in various places to see where you like them. You are the one who has to listen to them

Probably won't be enough depth behind the mirrors, there's only about .5" of clearance. My brother has them mounted on the front of the door panel. It seems to work well, but I'm not a stereo nut.

what about building a custom pod for the tweets where the mounting plates for the mirrors are?

don't use the top corners......if anything use the bottom corners.....the top corners will put a tweeter in your ear and the other one too far away.......get them as far forward on the dash as possible and fire the across at each passengers inside ear....the ideal location would be with all speakers equal distances apart and all speakers equal distance from your ears.......and the distance between each speaker equal to the distance between you and any of the speakers.....that would be ideal...but nearly impossible to achieve in any car......

the top of the door panels is the best location for your tweets especially if your using a 3 way setup.......you will have nice broad stage.....and if you have good time alignment you can work wonders with a 3 way setup

im running a 3 way set up in my ride using 8 inch woofer in the door tweets in upper front part of door , and 3 inc mids in the dash , using a p9 combo as a unit, no rear fill, and a 10 inch sub in a audioformz enclosure, running 2 x150 watts to woofers and tweets and 2 x 75 to mids and 250 watts to the sub and im using tube amp power.

That sounds like a sweet set up mrgeorgegarcia. do you have any pics? what type of components are you running? are you talking about just cutting the tweeter into the door panel?
