i have a act street clutch with heavy duty pressure plate,and was wondering i have 500 miles on it,and it has gotten alot softer since i put it in,meanning it was hard at first then as i put miles on it with stop and go traffic,i noticed over the weeks it has gotten softer like my stock clutch use to felt,is this normal....i read in a few places it is,but just wanna make sure,

 

Normal. This is called the break in period. The ''heavy duty'' pressure plate is probably slightly more firm than your stock one. You also need to take into account that you and your leg have probably gotten used to this newer set up and you no longer feel the difference.

 

thats what i figured,so the clutch is fully broken in i assume,the engagment is no where near as harsh as when i first tried it out,alot more smoother.

 

I have a question and this seems like a good place to ask haha. I have a Stage 5 Act 6 puck clutch i haven't ever install it. I want to down grade to something smaller I was wondering if i could use my ACT pressure plate with any clutch like a clutch master or something. If any one is interested in my clutch hit me up its just sitting.
