Default Dealer quoted $550 to install TRD Springs

Dealer quoted $550 labor to install TRD Springs and $90 for an alignment. I'm not paying $550 for springs install.

That price includes the springs right? That's insane the scion website says $399 installation included. I went to my dealer and they said all prices on accessories included installation. Well, you could save $300 if you buy them from trdsparks and install them yourself. Or save $550 if that price was just for the install.

^ yeah thats if your order the car with the trd springs. But if you buy them seperate and after you order the car then your gonna have to pay more

$550 sounds about right for a spring install especially at a dealer. youll get quotes anywhere between $300-600 for an install. dealers ofcourse will be alot more

That was just labor.... I will probably do them myself and just rent a spring compressor. There are a couple of speed shops around.... I will get other quotes....

Why rent or buy when you can borrow?

Either Autozone or Advanced Autoparts (can't remember which) has a tool loan program. You pay a deposit ($50, I think) and have 90 days to return them for a full refund.

BTW, might mention the Scion website to the dealer. I get crazy quotes from my dealer all the time and as soon as I mention the listed price on the website, I get the, "oh... sure, we can do that."

Why rent, buy or borrow, when you dont need it for the install? If someone asks nicely I might even explain how to do it...

Oh and what gmc_113 said is accurate.

How can you say that the Swift springs are better not having even seen the TRD springs, let alone tested both set to make such a statement?

WellesleyScion, I dare say you are a scholar and a gentleman, and by the way that shirt just looks smashing on you, have you been working out? So you were mentioning a way to install the TRD Springs, why I say, is that also a new haircut, by jove, that is just top notch there sir!!

So yes, if there is perhaps a way to install these springs, would you, could you (in a box) explain it for us?
