Default RCA outputs on Stock Deck

Hi,

Ive got a 05 bsp xB, w/the stock single cd head unit,

my question is for anyone who has used the RCA output plug adaptor kit or if there is a different method to getting good RCA pre-outs...without getting a new deck

(i'd rather spend $40 bucks now to run my amps etc. and spend more later for the A/V system i have planned...after airride)

here's a similar adaptor ive been looking at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

main questions:
1. how the quality of the output?
2. does it change output volume w/the ssp button?

thanks all!

btw: WTB: the rca output adaptor if anyone's selling one !! thx

I have it in my '05 xB with single disk. It seems to work just fine. I am only using it to power my sub. I'm not sure if the sound coming out of the speakers (the ones still powered by the head unit) are slightly distorted or if it's just in my head. I believe this can happen if the gain is set too high on the line out. Then again it could just be crappy MP3's ; )

Quality fit and finish is very good. It is a straight-forward and an easy to install adaptor...all plug and play. I opted to use this Vs. a line out because I didn't feel like tapping the factory harness. All radio functions (E.g. fadar (it is 2 channel so rear only), volume, SSP, Etc.) are retained and affect the line out.

Would I make the purchase again knowing what I know now??? Probably Yes.

Hope this helps.

or you could use an amp with a high level input......that way you don't have to even take your dash apart.....

im running the harness right now. i THOUGHT it was the best
thing ever. BUT im trying to figure out why
my front channel.. runnning a HI/LO CONVERTER.
gives my front amp a 'higher gain' so to speak.

im gonna run a hi/lo for my rear channel, and compare it to the signal my harness(ebay special). ill post the results within the next week or so.
