Imagine having a 50 disc DVD changer in your car along with your entire CD collection.

I came across this little item a couple of weeks ago and just received one yesterday. It is an external USB Hard drive case that has a built in audio/video board with on screen display and remote control that you can easily hook up to an LCD monitor in a car. It will play DVD VOB files directly from the drive and you can navigate the DVD menus with the remote. There is a car kit available also that will make it easier to supply power to it and also has a remote control repeater that will allow you to install this in the smallest of out of the way places. It does not come with the actual hard drive but you can pick up an IDE drive for cheap anywhere. I installed a 250gig from Best Buy ($119 after rebates). Easy install - if I can do it anyone can. I got mine at cooldrives.com, but there are other places online that have them. I get my RS2 xB in a couple of weeks (ordered 3 days ago) and this is going to be the first mod I do.

 

I forgot to add that it will also play ANY video file (avi, mpg, ...) and also will display photo slide shows.
