Default My clean cubby LED light mod

I just installed 2 Blue LEDs on top of the cubby hole to give it some light. The tC1 has them, so I came up with one for my tC2. I installed an extra cig lighter housing behind the the stock cigarette lighter wire connections. I use 2 LED bulbs (in it's own housing) that you just plug into the cigarette lighter (plus on this... it already has the fuse built in). Everything is tucked behind the panels so it's very clean install and no visible wires. It lights up every time you start the car.

Note on the pics... the light bluish color in the middle is just shadows from my camera. The total color is just one blue light output. The brighter pic is with flash on and the darker pic is no flash.

Looks good but you didn't need to install a another cigarette housing... All you had to do is splice into the wires of the oem one.

I know, but I wanted to add the GPS cord too and I wanted a clean install with no wires sticking out for both and both has it's own fuse. I'm keeping the front cig lighter power for temporary use only.

I missed the cubby lights that my 2005 tC had, so I too added some today. I thought I was being orginal, but turns out a bunch of folks beat me to it.

Anyway, I just used 2 led strips and hooked them into the cigarette lighter. It was super easy. Comes on whenever the car is on. It is bright as daylight in there.
