So we all know that we share motors with the corolla le. S . And ce? Anyways johnny from rpm headers made long tube headers for the corolla which will fit our cars as well. Dyno sheets have been proven that made 8hp wif mid pipe (gotta have a custom made mid pipe cause of their designed) in over 100+ weather. So it could of made more. Reg retail goes for 375 alone but we all ready got 5 ppl interested so u'll already get 10% discount (w.o shipping) 10+ will give us 15% discount. Any questions ask me. Gotta make a deposit of 100 bucks to be in the gb ... contact johnny nd refer me (xd kidd) for this awesome deal. To make make a deposit or other question ask johnny which his info and pictures are provided in the link below.

Btw they are the makers from ppe headers (google it) they have good reps nd these headers are a steal for the price. (Based on 1zz headers)

So hide yo kids. Hide yo wife. Cause these are gonna be badass!!!
Any questions and dnt want to get a tn account. You can ask here!!!

http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=387967

YOU CAN MAKE A DEPOSIT ONLY AND THEY WILL HOLD IT FOR YOU BY THE END OF SEPT AND GET THE DISCOUNT PRICE!!. DEPOSIT IS NON REFUNDABLE!!!

so this will just bolt right up with the addition of a custom midpipe? what about codes and such? does it still have the same o2 sensor locations?

i just deleted my resonator and matched piping to my DC axle-back so i was kinda looking into headers to get even more flow going. this is like the best timing ever lol.

Great question! We did not encounter any CEL while test driving the car following the installation and have not recieved any word from Joey regarding it as well. We designed a CEL eliminator that you can see in the pictures and it appears to be doing the job.

It's going to be about a month before I install everything. So if anyone wants more pics of anything on it (collector or mounting bracket or the flange to the head) let me know, and I can post pics. It was designed on a Corolla, but both cars have the same stock exhaust manifold part number. So I hope it fits with no problems.

I'm still hunting a good deal on a resonator, muffler, and going to probably keep the stock cat. You wouldn't happen to know if Amazon accepts other people's coupons? EDIT: just called amazon, they only match prices on TVs.

Separate note I've collected a crap load of old Nintendo stuff. 300+ regular NES titles top loader NES, 2nd gen SNES, N64, Virtual Boy, 3ds, Wii, DS lite, and a gamecube.

Well I want to thank Johnny and Jim @ RPM...After talking with them on the phone and ironing out some details, I decided to bite the bullet and let them use my car for mock up for the mid-pipe...Drove the 60 miles one-way and met up with Johnny at their shop, Johnny is even cooler in person...He showed me the long tube header already in production, excellent quality...Should have my car for the week and mid-pipes available for purchase soon...Keep an eye out...

Ok, I spoke to Johnny on the phone today...Things are going good and everything is moving right along...Looks like they will be completely done with my car on Tuesday but he did get the mid-pipe test fitted and mounted up...He sent me some pics of it and it looks awesome...I like what I am seeing so far...
As far as questions go I wont be able to answer them but Johnny did say that either him or Jim would try to get on this weekend to answer them...Now on to the pics...

Thanks for the kind words! Our company would be nada without the help and support of folks like Nateson, xD Kidd and our new best friend Yelosub. These three have been a driving force behind the creation of our Toyota header and midpipe and should be thanked for helping develop some kick a$$ products for the xD community. The good news is that we were wrapping up everything yesterday so Yelosub can quit taking the bus and get his hotrod back!

We'll be releasing out the different configurations and pricing ASAP so we can start building and shipping. Please note we also designed the midpipe to install with the stock exhaust manifold or Weapon R header. Like the Corolla project, we wanted to offer the option for folks to buy the midpipe even if they didn't want to purchase our header or had already made the investment in another aftermarket shorty header. Phatchef, please feel free to roll by the shop anytime, get a tour and meet me and the crew....our doors are always open to you guys and gals.

I'm going to have to call Monday, and reserve me one of those. Johnny, one thing that might interest you is that our car Scion XD shares the same chassis as the Yaris. So the mid pipe may also work for them as well. I don't know about where the yaris header meets the mid pipe, but their "cat back" from magnaflow only goes from the resonator to muffler. here's a link to their cat back, it should look pretty familiar.

UPDATE!!!!

My vehicle was delivered at 1:00 pm Arizona time :)

I fired up the xD for the first time, man what a completely different sound...She sounded loud and mean...Throttle response is instant...I took her for a spin and opened her up, man the butt dyno could definitely feel the power difference...Remember folks, I have an AUTOMATIC...I smash the gas and the xD gets up and goes...Smash the gas from a roll on and the power is instant...I believe their dyno claims on the Corolla for a 8-10HP gain are correct for the header and midpipe combo...I believe I'm probably somewhere around 12-15HP with the header, midpipe, Strup exhaust, and the short ram intake...I might be even a little more but without a dyno I'm not for certain...

You DO NOT need to run an aftermarket exhaust to use their header and midpipe combo...I personally feel that with the stock exhaust it sounds better but I will continue to use the Strup for the added performance gains...

Once again, thank you to Johnny and the staff at RPM...You guys do incredible work and I can see future products from you guys...turbo (hint hint) :)

RPM1
09-30-2011, 05:08 AM
The header installs very easy. A lift makes it nice, but it can be done with jack stands. Remove the stock midpipe, floor heat shield, manifold heat shield, o2 sensor, engine bracket, and manifold bolts. The manifold comes right out through the bottom and the RPM header fits up there with a little twist on the way up and its in.

Nateson

I'll title this as magic mid pipe.
After I bought my header I got a mid pipe made at my local Midas, and was not happy with the results. I could have taken it back and pulled teeth to fix a couple of things wrong with it, but didn't want to be bothered with it. The guy behind the counter kept building up to charge me more money, and the mechanic was honest but was missing the majority of his front teeth and was in his early 20s. So my complaints were they didn't use my mandrel bent pipe; they didn't install my resonator; one crush bent pipe had a couple of quarter size dents in it; my muffler was angled down and to the left; the whole setup rattled like a mad man with a cow bell; when they extended the o2 wire they didn't insalate it. The kid looked real proud of his work, and it took most of the day. I was quoted 4 hours install time, but the kid told me he was pulled off several times to work on other jobs. The man behind the came up to me directly after that. He was smiling, shaking his head, and looking at the ground when said " Welp, this job took longer than we expected". I quickly shut him down with "your mechanic just told me he has been pulled off this job several times." when he walks off I notice/ask the mechanic if the pipes are crush bent, they were. It was time for them to close at 6pm, so I go inside to settle the bill as they try to finish up, and the guy starts trying to build up again when I snap a little bit and we understand each other. $400 to install the header and custom make a mid pipe. As I try to leave they find that they left the keys in the ignition and the acc on. So my car was dead. With a quick push my car "rattled" back to life. The kid mechanic looked at me and said "you can bring it back tomorrow if it knocks or rattles." I just told him I won't be back with all my certainty. I rattled loudly down the road to my house when my CEL popped on. I was tired and needed to take a nap before work. So that's the back story.

Now the magical mid pipe. After hearing RPM was making a mid pipe for our through fitment on Yelosub's car I knew I had to get it. I got it in the mail, and got it installed through a recommended shop quickly without a problem. It now doesn't rattle, and I got it fit to the stock muffler until I get time to work on the axle back. The next part doesn't make sense to me, my CEL turned off on the way home. I thought the ecu would have to be reset. That's why I call it the magical mid pipe. Here's some pics of the mid pipe starting with one of the core of the cat.http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx312/natofrombombato/b4f8207a.jpg
