Default A/C dead

hey, my name is charlie i have an '05 scion tc 5-speed and yesterday my ac compressor pulley broke and is now like 20 degrees off center and completely locked up and the belt has obviously quit turning, so is there anyway to bypass the a/c compressor so i don't have to pay almost $500 for a new one plus the labor since i never used it anyway i really wouldn't miss is. any help will be greatly appreciated.

you may be able to buy a shorter serpentine belt and route it without the compressor.
