View Full Version : Who makes between 3" or 4" drop springs for the XB h82goslo 03-24-2005, 01:17 PM I want maybe a 3" or 4" drop on my box but, cant seem to find a cmopany that makes one any help would be nice. thanks. EVILDAVE 03-24-2005, 02:26 PM HKS Coilovers! dgHotLava 03-24-2005, 02:33 PM you prolly need to look at coilovers to go that low... and moved... h82goslo 03-24-2005, 02:37 PM All I ever see are coil over springs though without the strut plus coilovers ride like a wagon. No one makes a decent spring that low? GEEZ! George 03-24-2005, 02:40 PM Umm, you want to remove 4" of your box's <6 inch ground clearance, then have it ride like a Cadillac? A decent bump won't even fit under the car, so the springs have to be stiff just to stop the car from dragging on every bump. Want a smooth ride? Give the wheels some space to move! dgHotLava 03-24-2005, 02:43 PM the lowest springs i've heard of were 2.2-2.5 inch drop... lower than that you need coilover or air bags scion1616 03-24-2005, 03:08 PM BAGS http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/polarxb/100_0185.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/polarxb/100_0178.jpg h82goslo 03-24-2005, 03:17 PM Im not stupid I know that Ill loose some ride but lower springs vs. coilovers springs ride better. As far as 6" of ground clearance I have about 8" Im runnin 17's with a 40 series tire I think havent measured I could be wrong about ground clearance. Bags unfortunately arent an option right now my gf is driving it with the baby commin. I appreciate everyones opinions though. Cockpit_XB 03-24-2005, 03:42 PM i know people arent going to agree w/ me on this, but my friends use to cut springs back in the day, if you want go that route, go w/ tanabe df210 & cut a couple coils & you should get the drop you're looking for. I know, I know cutting springs is bad but hey he's looking for springs that are gonna give him a 3-4 inch drop & they dont make them. rolstc 03-24-2005, 03:53 PM thats your only option man . but trust me the ride quality sucks ... and your gonna be bouncing like a rabbit on the road !! hotbox05 03-24-2005, 05:43 PM Bouncing aint that bad it's bottoming out with anything more than 2.75 inch drop up front , trust me , lol. coilovers my friend. h82goslo 03-24-2005, 07:44 PM Well I guess the problem has a simple solution instead of sending the XB lower Im gonna have to get bigger rims!!!!!!! LOL thanks guys for the advise and info. aero2424 03-25-2005, 12:47 AM BAGS http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/polarxb/100_0185.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/polarxb/100_0178.jpg Bag it!
