Default Can i ride Tein s-techs with stock struts?

I have a 2011 Scion tc and i just bought Tein S-Tech lowering springs. Can i ride these with my factory struts? i won't be riding them hard, just for everyday use to get back and fourth to work and school. I will be purchasing some struts later on, also anyone know any good looking lip kits? Thank you

you can, but you shouldn't. just save time and money, save up and wait until you have the proper shocks/struts to mount the s-techs on.

Otherwise you'll just be replacing them again after a few thousand miles, so just save the money and do it right once.

I've been on stechs and stock struts for about a year now (15k miles) And I drive my car pretty hard. So far no issues. Pretty soon I'll be swapping to coilovers just to get more lower. And IMO you should just save your money and buy coilovers.

^As much as I like to say the same, everyone has different end results for their cars. One may just want to set it and forget it, and lowering springs may be fine. I myself am planning on changing my wheels up and will be adjusting the height to get the car sit to match. I was on TRD springs and wanted to go lower so that's why I went with adjustable coilovers.

once you drop it you will want it lower. i have had stechs for over a year with stock struts no problem but i have coilovers sitting in my room waiting to go on. I would say save money and buy coils.

I will keep my stock struts on them for a little while once i get my s-techs in then probably about in a month or so go with the tein basics. If i like the way my car sits on the s-techs i will get after market struts. thanks a lot (:
